The 10 Most Memorable Super Bowl Halftime Performances Of All Time

Thu Jan 19 2012 by Idolator Staff
On February 5, Indianapolis will host Super Bowl XLVI — the 46th iteration of America's biggest game. Millions of fans will gather 'round the television set with seven-layer dip and cold drinks to watch an epic match-up of teams, the year’s funniest and most expensive commercials and most importantly — as far as we're concerned — Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show. The newly minted Interscope singer has been on her grind lately, promoting her Golden Globe-winning directorial debut W.E., unleashing a super sexy fragrance line and gearing up for the release of her 12th studio album MDNA and a world tour.

With so much going on, can Madonna still quarterback a show as memorable as these 10 amazing Super Bowl halftime performances? More »

Obama Would Like Fergie, Adam Levine & Lea Michele’s Endoresement

Mon Jan 16 2012 by Idolator Staff
Is Obama a huge Maroon 5, Glee, and Black Eyed Peas fan? Maybe, maybe not — but he does want their endorsement on his 2012 re-election. The Commander-in-Chief already has stars like Lady Gaga on his team, but that didn't stop him from releasing a "wish list" of celebrities he'd like on board as he bids for a second term. Amongst names we might easily expect to find here, such as B.o.B., Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys, there are such diverse acts as Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum, the Jonas Brothers, Janelle Monae, Ricky Martin, Regina Spektor, and Vampire Weekend. (Kelly Clarkson was apparently already spoken for.) Check out the full list of names below. More »

Kanye West DJs New Year’s Eve In Vegas

Sun Jan 1 2012 by Idolator Staff
Yeezy World Peace strikes again! After showing off his DJ skills at Le Baron in London last week, Kanye West decided to put his turntable stylings to the test on the ultimate party night of the year — no, not a Sweet 16 party — New Year's Eve. The Lakers fan brought his turntables to the opening of 1Oak at The Mirage in Las Vegas last night and spun under his DJ name "Yeezy World Peace" (he previously tweeted that that was the only name he'd respond to as a DJ). And Ye wasn't the only famous face in the crowd — it was hosted by Fergie (spot her in the photo over Kanye's shoulder).

Fergie And JoJo Celebrate apl.de.ap’s Birthday And Charity Launch (PHOTOS)

Wed Dec 14 2011 by Erika Brooks Adickman

apl.de.ap’s birthday may have been last month, but the Black Eyed Pea didn’t get the celebration started until last night in Hollywood. Was the pop star waiting for the group to take a hiatus or was the rapper simply timing the soiree to the launch of his education advocacy campaign, We Can Be Anything? Regardless, joining apl.de.ap were fellow (and maybe soon-to-be-former) Pea, Fergie and train-jumper JoJo. Both pop starlets donned new sexy spins on the classic Little Black Dress, but we can’t decide who rocked the red carpet harder. Click through and help us decide. More »

Nicki Minaj & Florence + The Machine Added To Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Special

Tue Dec 6 2011 by Becky Bain
Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber won't be the only ones ringing in the New Year in Times Square during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2012. Nicki Minaj, Florence + The Machine and LMFAO have been added to the roster of artists. (Our fingers are crossed for a Nicki verse on "Shake It Out", since Florence told us herself, "She ever wants to do something with one of my tracks, I’m totally up for it.") The Band Perry, Blink-182, OneRepublic, Gym Class Heroes, Taio Cruz, Will.i.am and Christina Perri will also perform during the show, which will be co-hosted by Fergie, who has a whole lot of time on her hands now. Kanye West Performs With Fergie, Courtney Love Has Tantrum At SWU Festival

Mon Nov 14 2011 by Robbie Daw
There were highlights and low points at Brazil's SWU Music And Arts Festival over the weekend, and we'll just leave it up to you to determine where the two following video clips lie on that spectrum. The first clip features Kanye West performing his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy anthem "All Of The Lights" with a guest appearance by Fergie (who was also at the SWU fest with the Black Eyed Peas). The second is Courtney Love having an expletive-riddled meltdown over an audience member who NME notes was holding up a photo of Love's late husband Kurt Cobain. Watch the sparks fly below. More »
