President Obama’s Campaign Playlist Includes No Doubt, Jennifer Hudson & Al Green

President Obama has shared his re-election campaign playlist — the songs that the he and his team will be playing to get pumped up on the campaign trail from now til November — and there's no denying the President has eclectic tastes. Included on the list: No Doubt's "Different People", an album cut from their breakout album Tragic Kingdom; Obama's fellow Chicago natives Jennifer Hudson, Wilco and The Impressions; and, of course, Al Green's "Let's Stay Together", a song we already knew the President was fond of. NME Awards 2012: Lana Del Rey, Adele, Florence Nab Nominations

For better or for worse, UK-based music magazine NME has rolled out its shortlist of nominees for its 2012 NME Awards. Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Adele each earned noms across the various irreverent categories — some more forgiving than others. (Born This Way and Under the Mistletoe both came in under Worst Album, oof!) Also scoring nods were newcomers Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks and awards veterans Coldplay, The Throne and Katy Perry. It's anyone's guess what Florence + The Machine's next actual single off Ceremonials will be. But for now Ms. Welch has offered up a dark, live video for "Lover To Lover". Don't expect much in the way of fancy camera work or stage theatrics — it's all about mood, lighting and Flo's impassioned vocals. Florence + The Machine Spring Tour Dates Announced

Florence + The Machine's live 2012 dates in North America have expanded from the BRIT-nominated act's upcoming appearances at both the Coachella and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage fests this spring. Flo's trek across the States is rounded out with 16 total dates, which kick off at the Santa Barbara Bowl on April 14 and conclude at Atlantic City's Borgata Spa & Resort Event Center on May 12. Adele, Coldplay, Florence & Rihanna Among Performers For 2012 BRIT Awards

If Adele's voice hasn't healed enough by the time The Grammys air on February 12, we at least know we won't hit March without hearing the singer's incredible vocals again. The 21 songstress, who leads with three nominations, has been confirmed as one of the performers for the 2012 BRIT Awards, which will be held on February 21 at London's O2 arena. Other performers for the  include other BRIT nominees Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Florence + The Machine. More »

Adele, Lana Del Rey, Florence & Jessie J Nominated For BRIT Awards

Adele and Jessie J are the leading ladies at this year's BRIT Awards after nabbing three nominations apiece, while 20-year-old Halifax, West Yorkshire native Ed Sheeran got the most nods of all, with four. Sheeran's 2011 UK hit "The A Team" will compete with nine other songs in the British Single category — including Adele's "Someone Like You", Jessie J's "Price Tag" and The Wanted's "Glad You Came". Adele Unsinkable As She Nears ‘Titanic’ Soundtrack’s Stretch On Album Chart

It's a relatively quiet week on the Billboard Top 200, as sales drop in the post-holiday season and Michael Buble's Christmas and Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe plunge down the chart like discarded ornaments. That said, Adele's Grammy-nominated sophomore set 21 soldiers on and caps the album roundup for a 14th non-consecutive week after another 144,000 copies were sold. It's still the most weeks spent at #1 since the Titanic soundtrack's 16-week reign in 1998. And with awards season momentum behind her, Adele could very well capsize Titanic's title. More »
