A third season of Gone Country—the CMT show in which artists attempt to make over their careers so they can enter the hotly contended "country crossover" market—has been announced by the network, and among the stars hoping to follow in the footsteps of season-two victor Sebastian Bach are a lot of actual famous musicians, like George Clinton and Micky Dolenz and, uh, Justin Guarini. (OK, so maybe a couple of people this time out just like being on TV.) After the jump, we handicap the contestants.

So I was moving on Friday night and Maura was doing whatever it is she does during the baseball off-season and apparently the Idolator TiVo doesn't pick up CMT and so we missed the premier of Gone Country, the reality TV contest where the Rich half of Nashville duo Big & Rich tries to groom the likes of Dee Snider and Carnie Wilson to become America's Next Passable Country Singer. Do not forget! Tomorrow at 8 p.m. EST marks the premiere of CMT's Gone Country, where John Rich of Big & fame grooms seven celebs in varying stages of washed-upness to become a country "superstars." Maura sez: "Sisqo is going to totally own this show." I sez: Do not count out Marcia Brady just yet. [CMT

Also in the house: Carnie Wilson, Dee Snider, Diana DeGarmo, Maureen McCormick, Sisqo, and Julio Iglesias ... Junior. I'd make a joke about Willie Nelson showing up and helping Junior with a rousing rendition of "To All The Girls I've Loved Before '08," but that's probably happening as I type this, so why don't we just sit back and enjoy some more Don't Be Cruel-era Bobby instead? Bonus clip after the jump.
