Metallica, via a post on the band's site, claims that they were as befuddled as everyone else when the honchos at management company Q Prime decided they didn't want bloggers who were invited to hear the new album to actually blog about it. "Our response was 'WHY?!!! Why take down mostly positive reviews of the new material and prevent people from getting psyched about the next record... that makes no sense to us!'" Q Prime has kept mum (maybe they wanted to show potential leakers that they were on their toes), but the band has attempted to rectify the situation by posting links to the reviews on their own site, in an attempt to show some love for the "blogosphere."
