Iyaz And Travie McCoy Are Surrounded By “Pretty Girls” In Their New Video

Fri Aug 19 2011 by Becky Bain
If you have a song called "Pretty Girls", then by god, you are required to have as many pretty girls in your video as possible. In the clip for Iyaz's new single, the British Virgin Islands native snaps pics of many lovely ladies in front of a gratified wall, while guest artist Travie McCoy just kind of kicks it on the sidelines. If you had all that eye candy surrounding you, what would you do? Leave? Please! Watch Iyaz, Travie and all their lady friends in the "Pretty Girls" video below. More »

Sean Kingston Rocks Cast With Swag On Set Of New Video

Sat Jul 9 2011 by Idolator Staff
You'd never know from the looks of this photo of a very slimmed-down Sean Kingston that the Jamaican-born singer was in a messy jet-ski accident that left him and one passenger in critical condition five weeks ago. But here he is, looking better than ever minus one teensy cast on his wrist, on the set for Iyaz's new video "Pretty Girls." Which makes us ask: Does Kingston possess Wolverine-like healing powers that allowed him to get back to work so quickly after such a crippling incident? More »

Weird Al Yankovic Brings The Accordion To Pop Music With “Polka Face”

Wed Jun 15 2011 by Becky Bain
We wouldn't exactly call ourselves fans of polka music — that is, not unless Weird Al Yankovic is the one blaring on the accordion. Yankovic's new parody-filled album Alpocalypse drops June 21, and its another boisterous collection of Top 40 hits re-imagined as polka tunes. Listen to "Polka Face" — inspired, duh, by Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" — below the jump. More »

Iyaz Teams Up With David Guetta For “Last Forever”

Tue Jan 4 2011 by Becky Bain
It's been a few months since we've heard a peep from Island crooner Iyaz, but it appears as though he's already prepping his sophomore album — appearing on the web today comes his new dance track "Live Forever", produced by David Guetta (who, in retrospect, should have been on our list of 2010's hottest producers). Are you going to want to replay it over and over much like the singer's hit, er, "Replay"? Ring in the new year by checking out the (tagged) track after the jump! More »

Iyaz Is Loved-Up In His “So Big” Video

Tue Aug 10 2010 by Robbie Daw
Virgin Islands crooner Iyaz has left the puppy love of his "Solo" video behind for a more mature relationship with a curvy beauty in  "So Big." And, no—we're not referring to Miley Cyrus. And it's definitely not Rihanna or Beyonce. Head below to watch Iyaz sing his heart out in the video for his latest J.R. Rotem-produced slice of dance-pop. More »

Miley Cyrus Still Forced To Be Hannah Montana To Record A Song With Iyaz

Thu Jul 8 2010 by Becky Bain
Although Miley Cyrus is more than happy to prance around in tight black, edgy outfits made of leather and duet with middle-aged 80s rockers these days, she still has to grin and bear her squeaky-clean Disney princess persona running amok. Miley-as-Hannah-Montana teamed up with Island pop star Iyaz for the track "This Boy, That Girl," a song on the show's fourth and finale soundtrack, Hannah Montana Forever. (Apparently "forever" means "until our leading actress wants to be taken seriously as a performer and wear a sexy bird outfit while singing electro music.") Low quality radio rip of the track after the jump. More »

Iyaz’s New Track “So Big” Makes Him Ask—Beyonce And Rihanna Who?

Thu Jun 17 2010 by Becky Bain
How much does Iyaz love the subject of his latest slice of dance-pop, the infectious "So Big"? So much that if Rihanna or Beyoncé (in an alternate universe where both ladies were not already in relationships, mind you) came up to him and asked to be ravaged all night long, he would turn them down. Now that's commitment. Listen to the catchy little tune, Iyaz's third single from his debut LP, by taking the jump. More »

PHOTOS: Adam Lambert, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber And More Rock Wango Tango

Mon May 17 2010 by Becky Bain

Although Usher, Ludacris, Iyaz, B.o.B, David Guetta, Kelly Rowland and Akon delivered powerhouse sets at Wango Tango, the whole night was about Justin Bieber. The Bieb took the stage to perform his hits, and still made time to make one little girl’s life by inviting her onstage to give her a Bieber-approved bouquet of flowers. Also, Adam Lambert switched up his tight leather duds for some black parachute pants, and Auntie Ke$ha (who introduced “TiK ToK” as her “love song”) beat drums full of glitter and brought along a very interesting date for her walk down the red carpet. Flip through our gallery of our favorite Wango Tango moments. More »

Iyaz Takes A Sad Stroll Through The Virgin Islands In His “Solo” Video

Thu Apr 8 2010 by Robbie Daw
Just when we thought music videos released this week couldn't get any more saccharin than Colbie Caillat's "I Never Told You," along comes the one for Iyaz's latest single "Solo"—i.e. that pop jam containing the sample of Janet Jackson's "Again" that you've been hearing incessantly on the radio. Ready to watch a little puppy-lovin' in the Virgin Islands? Then hop below. More »
