Madonna And Jay Leno Discuss The Super Bowl, ‘W.E.’ And ‘MDNA’

Tue Jan 31 2012 by Robbie Daw
With Madonna off to the Super Bowl this weekend and her directorial effort W.E. in theaters on Friday — not to mention her single "Give Me All Your Luvin'" dropping in three days — the pop icon naturally has some promoting to do. Last night she hit up the Tonight Show,  where she described her upcoming halftime performance in Indianapolis as "the most nerve wracking thing I've ever done." But don't worry about what's in store, America: "For sure, no nipples." Madge quipped. More »

Adam Lambert Rocks ‘Tonight Show’ With “Better Than I Know Myself”

Wed Jan 18 2012 by Robbie Daw
If Adam Lambert's fans were anxious to see him back on the promo circuit and getting the word out about his new material, last night's performance of lead Trespassing single "Better Than I Know Myself" surely proved to be worth the wait. The singer initially teased with a calm and cool delivery of the song before finally segueing to powerhouse vocals on the slick ballad's chorus at the end. Think you know Adam's new single inside and out? You haven't heard it till you've heard this rendition. Watch below! More »

Will.i.am Brings His iPad Onto ‘The Tonight Show’

Wed Jan 4 2012 by Becky Bain
Will.i.am's "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" continues to hammer its way into existence with a late-night performance of the track on The Tonight Show. Instead of Jennifer Lopez or Mick Jagger, though, viewers got an eyeful of a dozen iPads strapped to the heads of will and his backup dancers. (Due to his on-screen visage lip-synching to pre-recorded vocals, will avoided another on-air lyrical fail.) Someone's either getting a nice big check from Apple, or will.i.am is a generous soul when it comes to product placement. Watch will.i.am's two-minute iPad commercial below. More »

Foster The People “Stop” By ‘Tonight Show’

Tue Dec 13 2011 by Robbie Daw
Our year-end faves Foster The People swung by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night to perform their latest Torches single "Don't Stop (Color On The Walls)". Now, what would have really made this appearance sparkle is if they had Gabourey Sidibe, the star of the music video for the song, drive her hoopty to the middle of the stage and start making out with Mark Foster. Oh, well — despite the absence of that, it was still a pretty good gig. Watch below, and keep an eye out for Charlize Theron at the very end. Man, is she tall. More »

Estelle Lends Gym Class Heroes Her Stereo Heart On The ‘Tonight Show’

Fri Nov 18 2011 by Robbie Daw
Both Gym Class Heroes and Maroon 5 were in attendance at yesterday's Google Music launch party, but M5 frontman Adam Levine must have had other obligations when it came time for Travie McCoy and the gang to hit up the Tonight Show to perform "Stereo Hearts". Instead, GCH turned to "Thank You" songstress Estelle for some assistance with the chorus of their current Top 10 single. Watch this new musical pair-up below. More »

Patrick Stump Brings “This City” To ‘The Tonight Show’

Wed Nov 16 2011 by Becky Bain
Patrick Stump was originally supposed to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few weeks ago, but got bumped because President Obama decided he wanted to chit-chat with Jay. (The nerve!) Stump finally got his chance to shine on the late night talk show while wearing a flashy cobalt blue suit (complete with one of his favorite things — a matching bowtie!) as he performed "This City". The Soul Punk singer sounded phenomenal, though we're itching for a new single at this point. The bubbly ode to drinking, "Run Dry", would be our pick. Nevertheless, check out the boy in bright blue below! More »

Chris Daughtry Crawls Onto The ‘Tonight Show’

Thu Nov 3 2011 by Robbie Daw
When Daughtry's single "Crawling Back To You" was released a month ago, we predicted that adult contemporary radio would eat the song up. Alas, any gobbling of the tune that was done wasn't enough to land it in the Top 40. (After peaking at #41, the lead single from Break The Spell is currently floundering at #99 on the Hot 100.) Cue up Chris Daughtry and the band hitting up the Tonight Show for a performance last night, three weeks ahead of the album release. More »

Robyn Calls Up A Breathtaking Performance On The ‘Tonight Show’

Wed Nov 2 2011 by Robbie Daw
We don't know if Robyn is feeling more energized after performing at MTV's O Awards or during her opening slot on Katy Perry's North American tour, or perhaps at her recent headlining gig at the Hollywood Bowl, but the pop pixie was in rare form on the Tonight Show last night, where she belted out "Call Your Girlfriend" with such conviction it seemed like she might fall over by the end. Oh, and she wore a pretty cool black and yellow jacket, too. Watch below, and check out Jay Leno's other guest Eddie Murphy grinning in wonderment at Robyn toward the very end of the clip. More »

Justin Bieber’s New Haircut: Drink It In, Beliebers (PHOTOS)

Tue Nov 1 2011 by Erika Brooks Adickman

Justin Bieber dropped by the set of the Tonight Show last night. And while the pop star chatted with Jay Leno about his ladyfriend, his “Batmobile” and his love for eating sushi, we were more interested in the Canadian crooner’s new ‘do. The “All I Want For Christmas” remix artist is now rocking a spiky haircut and — unfortunately for the Mueseo De Cera — looks even less like the wax recreation that was unveiled in Madrid last week. (We didn’t think that was even possible.) What are your thoughts on the Beibes’ new look? Tell us below. More »

Justin Bieber Flaunts His Love For Selena Gomez, Raw Fish And His Bat Car On ‘Leno’

Tue Nov 1 2011 by Becky Bain
Consider this the beginning of the holiday season: Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe is officially upon us. The drummer boy, sporting a new windswept hairdo, promoted his Christmas-themed album on The Tonight Show last night, but mostly promoted his real true loves: his "Batmobile" (aka his pimped-out Cadillac), his adoration for sushi (which he teaches Jay how to eat properly) and the Titanic-like efforts he'll go to to impress his girlfriend Selena Gomez. Check out both parts to Justin and Jay's chit-chat below. More »
