With
house remixes of
Beyonce's "Best Thing I Never Had" currently heating up dancefloors around the world, it was only a matter of time before a canny MC molded the break-up anthem into an urban club-banger. You can now get crunk to
the pulsating diva's current top 20 hit courtesy of Lil Jon and DJ Kontrol. Their version features fat beats and a rap by rising star Shawty Putt. It's probably not what
the Roseland Ballroom performer had in mind when she recorded the Babyface-penned ballad, but we like it. Drop it low to Bey's latest after the jump.

Okay, so most of our
predictions for
American Idol Season 10 didn't end up happening, but we can't say we're that upset with country crooner Scotty McCreery being
crowned champ. Besides seeing the 17-year old being rubbed by all his fellow Idols (and smooched on the cheek by runner-up Lauren Alaina), last night's finale was really about the high-profile performances. And since we have nothing else to judge or critique as the season is over and done with, let's rate the performances from best to worst... and weirdest.

Anyone in Hollywood will tell you that the directors who stand out at the annual Sundance film festival are the outsiders: the real renegades who dared to make independent films that defy convention. Which is why it must be a treat for the Sundance crowd to see a collection of pop music stars who represent the same outlaw spirit:
"Cosmic Love"-rs Florence + The Machine,
acting buff Cee-Lo Green,
tightrope walker Janelle Monae, Snoop Dogg and Lil Jon — all of whom appeared at the Bing Bar. Watch our special video (titled "Chimes") to glimpse their performances.

A number of our favorite artists trekked out to Park City, Utah, to help kick off the annual indie-film parade known as the Sundance Film Festival. (Example: 50 Cent took a break from
shoveling snow to hype the fact that he's now co-producing movies). But much of the action is taking place off-screen: we've got an exclusive video offering a glimpse inside the action at the Bing Bar, which played host to Snoop Dogg, Lil Jon, Janelle Monae and other stars at a special event for Hollywood's next-big-things. Watch below.

While Nick Jonas travels the road as a solo artist and Kevin Jonas enjoys purity ring-free married life, Joe Jonas is keeping busy—the middle JoBro is one of a handful of celebrity guest stars in the new Vampire Weekend video for their single "Giving Up The Gun," which also features Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, Lil Jon, and (hey, why not!) Jake Gyllenhaal. Watch Joe, Jake and the gang make a racket in a dreamlike tennis match in the clip below.

For a while we thought there was a chance that T-Pain might just throw his top hat in the ring to
become a college president, but now it looks like he's ternt his attention to ... animated musicals? Of course. Tallahassee's favorite rapper is producing and taking a role in
Freaknik:The Musical, a one-hour special that will air on The Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block in March. T-Pain will play "a party ghost" in the show, which also includes the voice talents of Lil Wayne, Kelis, Lil Jon, Big Boi, Snoop Dogg, Pain's
boating buddy Andy Samberg and more. (Sadly, once again,
Kanye wasn't invited to the party.) Colorful/seizure-inducing trailer below.

Everyone raise a glass of pimp juice for the return of The Crunkfather, Lil Jon!
The video for Jay Sean’s current Top 20 hit “Do You Remember”—which features Jon as well as Sean Paul on vocals—premiered today on Vevo, and the three-and-a-half minute clip plays like an homage to both Lionel Richie’s street-party classic “All Night Long” and Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”
“I met Sean at the red carpet for the MTV VMAs and he came up to me and he liked my music,” Jay told Idolator at last week’s KIIS-FM Jingle Ball concert in Los Angeles. “I was like, ‘Listen I’ve got the song for you,’ I sent it off to him, he did the same thing, sent it back—he was in Jamaica, I was in New York—but we did it and I was so, so happy.”
“Do You Remember” is the follow-up to Sean’s breakthrough hit in the States, “Down,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this fall. See the video for “Do You Remember” after the jump! More »

You have to wonder just what machinations result in a mixup like this one. A malfunction at the Celebrity Cell Phone Number Database? An overly-invested-in-pranks worker at said database’s HQ? Either way, the heated nature of this Tweet makes me think that Miley’s little pals are either going to get a lot of lessons in the wonderful world of profanity over the next few weeks, or they’re going to have half-sad, half-absurd conversations like the one after the jump.

Part of me always suspected a Baltimore club track would cross over to the mainstream at some point, but when I heard DJ Class‘ “I’m The Ish” on the urban station here in Tucson yesterday (a station about six or seven months behind most breaking records), I was surprised. When I saw the track had jumped to the 30th-most-played track on urban radio in just two weeks, I was shocked.
