The nominations for the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards were announced today, and Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Adele, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Lupe Fiasco, Drake and Mary J. Blige all received nominations. Notice anyone missing? How about Rihanna, the woman who has released three Top 10 albums in as many years — one which is currently nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammys — and the same pop star who boasts a single that has topped the Hot 100 for 10 weeks? Though we admittedly had a ball compiling  the list of the 10 Worst Album Covers of 2011, we’re not just a bunch of haters here at Idolator. There were several album covers from LPs released this year — 10 to be precise — that we fell head over heels in love with, either due to the cover’s originality, its entertainment value, or just the sheer beauty of the particular piece. Last year we chose Katy Perry’s whimsical Teenage Dream as our favorite cover art, and this year’s #1 pick is just as dreamy. Lupe Fiasco Thrills Fans In His “I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now” Video

The long, tumultuous battle to release Lasers has finally paid off for Lupe Fiasco, as his LP is up for three Grammys (including Best Rap Album). And though he explains that "I Don't Wanna Care Right Now" in his new video (which uses footage from his Generation LASER tour), we're betting he cares very much about his nominations. Lady Gaga, Sugarland, Jason Aldean & Rihanna Highlight Grammy Concert

Last night's GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! event kicked off with a haunting performance of "Marry The Night" by a zombified Lady Gaga and her dancers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Was her undead get-up a hint at what to expect from the song's music video? We'll find out when it premieres today! Other performances included Rihanna doing her current chart-topper "We Found Love" (via satellite, from London), Ludacris reprising his CMT Music Awards pair-up with Jason Aldean on "Dirt Country Road" and Gaga, once more, with Sugarland, as they teamed up for a countrified "You And I". The Grammy Nominations Concert Live are going to be employ some serious Lasers. Joining previously announced performers Lady Gaga, Jason Aldean and Sugarland, rappers Lupe Fiasco and Ludacris have been added to the lineup for the annual televised event, which will air on CBS on November 30. This bodes well for both artists to pick up some noms, no?

Royalty fave (and Idolator-approved) Ellie Goulding adds some elegance to Lupe Fiasco's new song "Lightwork", off the Chi-town rapper's forthcoming Friend Of The People mixtape, which drops this Thanksgiving. Chris Brown, Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes Big Winners At BET Hip Hop Awards

Lil Wayne ended up nabbing a handful of the 18 BET Hip Hop Awards he was up for. The sixth annual event was broadcast last night. Weezy shared a few of his awards with Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes, as the trio's collaborative single "Look At Me Now" was victorious in the Best Hip Hop Video, Verizon People's Champ and Reese's Perfect Combo categories. (Busta was also honored with a Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse nod for the song.) More »
