Madonna Wows At Super Bowl Halftime Show (PHOTOS)

Mon Feb 6 2012 by Erika Brooks Adickman

Even if you’re a Giants fan (like Nicki Minaj), you’d have to agree that the true winner of last night’s Super Bowl was Madonna’s halftime show. The Queen not only kept to her promise of pom poms, she Vogued like a futuristic Cleopatra (with choreography from So You Think You Can Dance’s Tabitha and Napoleon D’Uomo), shuffled in ultra high heels alongside LMFAO, gave us all her luvin’, then sent us on our way with a prayer for World Peace with help from Cee Lo Green and a choir, in a scene like something out of Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Click through to relive the glorious 12-minute performance from last night (yes, even M.I.A. flipping the bird for no apparent reason). Then let us know what your favorite moment was in the comments below, or on Facebook and Twitter. More »

Madonna At The Super Bowl: Review Revue

Mon Feb 6 2012 by Robbie Daw
Madonna's Super Bowl halftime performance was a glowing spectacle that offered a sampling of the pop queen's lengthy back catalog of hits and boasted a slew of guests like Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green and LMFAO. Of course, M.I.A. was there, too, and she made sure all of America knew the size and shape of her middle finger during "Give Me All Your Luvin'". Naturally, the Internet at large chimed in with several opinions of the show. Catch our roundup of the reviews below! More »

Mon Feb 6 2012 by Robbie Daw
Apparently the Super Bowl wasn't the only time we'll be seeing (and hearing) Madonna pair up with cheeseball dance-pop duo LMFAO. The Material Girl's upcoming album MDNA will contain a remix of "Give Me All Your Luvin'" featuring the "Sexy And I Know It" hit-makers as a bonus track. Start shufflin' down below to give the reworked track — which still features Nicki Minaj's rap, though the one by bird-flipper M.I.A. is axed — a spin! More »

Did You Hear?

:: There was no "wardrobe malfunction" yesterday, but the Super Bowl Halftime Show wasn't without controversy - NBC and the NFL have issued an apology for M.I.A. flipping the bird to the camera during her guest verse in "Give Me All Your Luvin'". "The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans," NBC spokesman Christopher McCarthy said."[Rap-Up]

Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance: Watch It Now!

Sun Feb 5 2012 by Idolator Staff
Most years, people watch the Super Bowl to see a bunch of men playing football. This year, a number of eyes are glued to TV sets primarily to see a 53-year-old woman in a gold Viking costume sing and dance — got a problem with that? (Okay, and maybe a few watched for Kelly Clarkson.) Regardless of which team emerges as the champ of Super Bowl XLVI, we declare that everyone who catches Madonna's halftime performance of "Give Me All Your Luvin'" is a winner. If you missed it — or if you, like us, would like to revisit the magic about 600 more times — catch Madonna's nipple-free Super Bowl halftime show below. More »

Madonna’s “Give Me All Your Luvin’” Video: Review Revue

Fri Feb 3 2012 by Becky Bain
When Madonna drops a new video, people are going to talk about it — it's a law of pop nature, folks. And there certainly is a lot to discuss in the MDNA singer's "Give Me All Your Luvin'" video: Golden rain! Trick photography! Triple Marilyns! (Or are those Triple Madonnas during her Marilyn era?) Though no one is naming this one of Madge's best videos (the woman has so many good ones, where would we even begin to name the best?), the reactions are far more along the lines of "touchdown" than "fumble". Okay, enough sports euphemisms — head below to read what the web thinks of Madonna's latest campy clip. More »

M.I.A. Rides High In “Bad Girls” Video

Fri Feb 3 2012 by Idolator Staff
Is M.I.A. attempting to upstage herself? The very same day she appeared as a cheerleader for Madonna's campy/creepy "Give Me All Your Luvin" team, the "Birthday Song" diva has also dropped the video for her new single "Bad Girls" — which, contrary to its name, features a lot more bad driving than femme fatales. M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls" video is what would happen if the next Fast & Furious film were set in Morocco and everyone cared more about pop music and fashion than stealing cars. (Which is probably why it's a music video, not a blockbuster movie.) Check out the Romain Gavras-directed clip below. More »

Madonna Scores In “Give Me All Your Luvin” Video With Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.

Fri Feb 3 2012 by Idolator Staff
Madonna has had all our luvin for quite some time now, but we suppose a little more can't hurt. As we spied in the "Give Me All Your Luvin" video preview, Madge is definitely working the Super Bowl angle, surrounded by faceless football players who are always around to catch her when need be. And you know she's a diva when she's got Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., two of the hottest musicians in the game, on her own personal cheer squad. We estimate this video's value at, oh, about $300. So grab your pom-poms and watch the Megaforce-directed epic below. More »
