It probably says something about New York's music "scene" that I had to go all the way down to Austin to find a band that wasn't hyped to the gills by the city's blog-equipped cognoscenti that also happened to be actually pretty decent, but I'll save all that cranky thinkpiece-styled stuff for my return to the drizzly early-spring weather of the East Coast.
