A last-minute cancellation by Kid Cudi didn't stop the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal from making quite a splash this weekend — a record-breaking 38,000 fans turned out to see Eminem yesterday at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau, where they were treated to an hour-and-a-half set of MTV Video Music Award nominee's greatest hits. The "Lighters" rapper also took a moment to pay homage to Nate Dogg, the Grammy-nominated G-funk crooner who died of a stroke in March. Warren G Pays Respect To Nate Dogg With New Song “This Is Dedicated To You”

A month after the death of G-funk crooner Nate Dogg, his good friend and "Regulate" collaborator Warren G has offered up the tribute jam "This Is Dedicated To You." The song, which is based around the mournful melody of the Eagles' "Hotel California," features LaToiya Williams (spelled as "LaToya" on the single cover) and is set to be added to iTunes tomorrow (April 26), according to Rap-Up.com. G-funk crooner Nate Dogg (real name: Nathaniel Hale) died all too soon yesterday at the age of 41, reports the Long Beach Press-Telegram. Dogg was best known for his appearances on singles by others such as Dr. Dre ("The Next Episode"), Warren G ("Regulate"), Ludacris ("Area Codes"), Fabolous ("Can't Deny It"), 50 Cent ("21 Questions") and Eminem ("Shake That"). First, Nate Dogg had a stroke. Then the always-classy folks at TMZ mocked his ladyfriend for not being upset enough during the 911 call reporting said stroke. Then the Internet thought he was dead. And now? The once-ubiquitous singer has been arrested for making “terrorist threats,” according to TMZ–which somehow restrained itself from making a joke about his medical condition while reporting on why, exactly, he’s headed for the medical ward of a downtown Los Angeles jail.

Internet Assholes Almost Cause Nate Dogg To Have Second Stroke

Guys, I hate to finish out the week with some sad news, but Nate Dogg is paralyzed on his left side after the stroke he suffered during the holidays. The silver lining? MTV reports that “the prognosis for a full recovery, however, is good… the singer did not suffer any brain damage nor has his voice been affected.” The shitty lining? The completely assholish, but not at all surprising, reaction bloggers had to the incident.
