THE RUMOR: Nate Dogg passed away over the weekend, according to a MySpace post that was picked up by MediaTakeOut earlier today.
TRUTH THRESHOLD: 0%. Yes, that's right—it's a rumor that's been, shall we say, wholly exaggerated.

Prosecutors have now filed charges against Nate Dogg for stalking his wife, making threats, and driving with a suspended license following his arrest this June. It's not the first time Nate's lost his cool over a lady—the regulator pled guilty to 2006 charges that he had harassed an ex and punched her boyfriend just this March. With the chorus king already on probation for that incident, it seems very possible he'll see jail time for this latest fit of jealousy. His arraignment is scheduled for July 16. [Billboard]
Once-ubiquitous urban radio guest crooner and interplanetary hero Nate Dogg was released from California's Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center "on December 26 after being treated for a stroke and is currently in a medical-rehab facility to assist him in his recovery." Get well soon, Nate! [
