Nate Dogg: Still Not Having The Best Year

Prosecutors have now filed charges against Nate Dogg for stalking his wife, making threats, and driving with a suspended license following his arrest this June. It's not the first time Nate's lost his cool over a lady—the regulator pled guilty to 2006 charges that he had harassed an ex and punched her boyfriend just this March. With the chorus king already on probation for that incident, it seems very possible he'll see jail time for this latest fit of jealousy. His arraignment is scheduled for July 16. [Billboard]

Nate Dogg Is Not Having The Best Year

First, Nate Dogg had a stroke. Then the always-classy folks at TMZ mocked his ladyfriend for not being upset enough during the 911 call reporting said stroke. Then the Internet thought he was dead. And now? The once-ubiquitous singer has been arrested for making "terrorist threats," according to TMZ—which somehow restrained itself from making a joke about his medical condition while reporting on why, exactly, he's headed for the medical ward of a downtown Los Angeles jail. Internet Assholes Almost Cause Nate Dogg To Have Second Stroke

Guys, I hate to finish out the week with some sad news, but Nate Dogg is paralyzed on his left side after the stroke he suffered during the holidays. The silver lining? MTV reports that "the prognosis for a full recovery, however, is good... the singer did not suffer any brain damage nor has his voice been affected." The shitty lining? The completely assholish, but not at all surprising, reaction bloggers had to the incident. More »

Once-ubiquitous urban radio guest crooner and interplanetary hero Nate Dogg was released from California's Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center "on December 26 after being treated for a stroke and is currently in a medical-rehab facility to assist him in his recovery." Get well soon, Nate! [MTV]

Suge Knight Prepares To Dangle This Headline From A 30th-Floor Hotel Balcony

The Smoking Gun has the details on Nate Dogg's lawsuit against Death Row records and Marion "Suge" Knight, the papers for which were filed last month in Los Angeles. Claiming to be "one of the most recognizable names in urban music"—maybe he means his last name?—Nate Dogg alleges that Death Row has denied him royalties, and that he was threatened with violence whenever he approached them for money. He's seeking $10 million, and probably time in the witness-protection program. More »
