Cory Gunz Arrested On Gun Charge

Well, at least no one can accuse him of not living up to his name. "6 Foot 7 Foot" rapper Cory Gunz has been arrested for possession of a loaded firearm in New York City. The Young Money rapper was found in his native Bronx with the weapon in his knapsack in what his father Peter Gunz (also a rapper, featured on MTV's Son Of A Gun with Cory) told MTV was "definitely an illegal search." Though this is Cory's first arrest, it looks like the 24-year-old may well be facing some serious jail time, as there is a mandatory prison sentence for this offense in New York City. Nick Cannon Discusses Mild Kidney Failure, Thanks His “Nurturing” Wife Mariah Carey

We were worried when Mariah Carey tweeted a pic of her husband Nick Cannon looking not-so-great while lying in a hospital bed after suffering "mild kidney failure". Thankfully, two weeks after his initial hospitalization, Cannon is well enough to be back on the red carpet and on the radio. This morning, the father of DemBabies discussed his health scare with Howard Stern — who, not so coincidentally, will be joining Cannon on the upcoming season of America's Got Talent — and revealed that he feels even closer to his wife after battling such a serious situation together.

The BET Honors were held last night, and as expected, it was an R&B star-studded affair. On the guest list were two-thirds of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams (hmm, we wonder what could have happened to keep Beyonce at home?), along with Willow Smith, Stevie Wonder, and someone named Michelle Obama (maybe she’s a new artist?). BET tributed Mariah Carey for her still-thriving career, which saw Mimi bringing husband Nick Cannon to the stage (glad he’s feeling better!) along with young Moroccan to meet the First Lady. More »

Blue Ivy Carter is here! (Nope, it's not Ivy Blue.) Now it's only a matter of time before she gets into the studio with Dr. Luke, cranks out an album, and wins herself a slew of Grammys. (Come on, you know it'll happen!) But since we'll have to wait at least a couple weeks for anything like that to happen, for now we'll have to content ourselves to learn how Beyonce and Jay-Z's friends and peers welcomed the little bundle of joy. This certainly is not one sweet day for Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon. He and his festive wife apparently had their holiday break in Aspen cut short when Cannon wound up in the hospital — but it wasn't a skiing accident that sidelined the America's Got Talent host. "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman," Mariah tweeted this morning along with this pic of Nick in a hospital bed.
