NBC/Universal Exec Hates Music Pirates (Except The In-House Ones)

This Washington Post profile of NBC/Universal exec Jeff Zucker focuses on his "self-appointed role as the industry's torchbearer on fighting piracy," framed within the results of a Gallup poll that shows that the number of folks who'll actually fess up to stealing MP3s has jumped 4% in two years, and that "22 percent of surveyed American adults admitted to buying some form of counterfeit goods in the past year, including illegally downloaded songs, pirated DVDs and knockoff clothing, handbags and shoes, with music by far the most purchased unauthorized product." Self-confessed piracy has gotten so bad, in fact, that Zucker is on his way to D.C. right now to beg the government to start cracking the whip on pirates that much harder. But we're guessing no one told him that he could have stayed in New York to start the clean-up process, considering he's apparently got a noted pirate on staff.
