Yes, yes, Precious is critically acclaimed and all the actors deserve the praise. But let's face it—Mariah Carey drunkenly accepting the award for Breakthrough Actress Performance at last night's 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival was far more entertaining than the movie itself. (Not to mention, slightly less of a downer.)
"Please forgive me, because I'm a little bit..." Carey began saying before trailing off. People in the audience gave her a helping hand by shouting "Drunk!"

Mariah Carey has been given an acting award—the folks at the Palm Springs Film Festival will honor Mariah with their Breakthrough Performance Award for (appearing in two scenes in) Precious.
