The Morning Mix: Incarcerated Lil Wayne Still Stirring Up Trouble

Thu Mar 18 2010 by Becky Bain
Did You Hear?

:: A warrant was issued for the arrest of Lil Wayne in connection with a narcotics case, though he's already behind bars on a weapons charge. Rumor has it he plans to make 47 music videos before his next court appearance. [Vulture]

:: The two Panic! At the Disco members who flew the coop—Ryan Ross and Jon Walker—debut their new song "Young Veins (Die Tonight)." Interesting title, since Young Veins is the name of their new group. More interesting? Sounds pretty much like Panic's last album Pretty. Odd. [Spin]

:: Jack White and Jay-Z recorded a song together. No details about what the track sounds like or even the name, but we're hoping for "Empire State of Mind (Sped Up) Pt. III." [Pitchfork]

:: Pomplamoose officially make the most adorable covers of pop songs ever. Check out their precious indie covers of "Telephone" and "Single Ladies." [MTV Buzzworthy]

:: Nicole Scherzinger had a surprise suitor hit on her during the "We Are The World" recording—Justin Bieber. The heartthrob took one look at her upon entering the room, and said, "I can't take it. I gotta leave. You're too gorgeous." [Rap-Up]

After the jump: we wish happy birthday to a Queen. More »
