Though our specialty is reviewing music, we’re often distracted from an artist’s tunes by their amazingly awful album cover. In 2011, there were 10 (mostly) high-profile releases with cover art so ridiculous, so badly designed, and just so straight-up weird that we had to share them with all of you. Last year, MGMT nabbed the highest honor here for their hallucinatory surf’s-up-kitty album cover art for Congratulations — but even that hot mess looked like it should be hanging in a museum compared to this year’s entries. Check out our 10 picks for worst cover art for albums and mixtapes released in 2011 (with one exception), and check back tomorrow for a palate cleanser of the year’s 10 best. More »

Robin Thicke knows how to make us swoon — not only is he
one of the year's sharpest dressers, his silky falsetto on new album
Love After War could melt butter. And after reading his latest interview with
Essence — in which he waxes poetic on his 18 year relationship with
Mission:Impossible actress Paula Patton and divulges into the jaw-dropping amount of orgasms he loves to give his lady —well, we're left speechless. Jump below to find out just a
smidge too much about Robin's bedroom behavior with his missus, as well as his thoughts on loving black women and respecting black men, in our 7 Classy Quotes round-up below.

Of all performers you might expect to take on Jay-Z and Kanye West's
Watch The Throne track "Ni**as In Paris," Robin Thicke is not likely the first to come to mind. Yet the
"Never Give Up" crooner did just that Friday night during his concert at Los Angeles' Key Club on the Sunset Strip, while also trotting out a number of songs from his latest album
Love After War. File this under "Performances we never thought we'd see, but we're glad we did" and watch below.

Robin Thicke's
Love After War is coming at us on Tuesday, and after
previewing the entire album, we can now take a listen to the LP track "Never Give Up" in its entirety. The uplifting tune sounds like it could be the anthem for Occupy Wall Street, with the opening lyrics: "Lost your job, lost your mind / Living on the street for the second time," before launching into a symphonic message of encouragement that deviates nicely from Thicke's usual R&B sound in the production. And, indeed, it is hard to feel hopeless with this inspiring tune from
Paula Patton's dreamboat husband. Listen below.

With the exceptions of Chris Brown winning Album Of The Year for
F.A.M.E. and Miguel being named Best New Artist, it was primarily ladies' night at the
2011 Soul Train Awards, which went down on November 17 at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, but aired last night on BET. That said, a bit of female star power was missing as winners like Nicki Minaj (Best Hip Hop Song), Beyonce (Best Dance Performance), Kelly Rowland (Song Of The Year) and Rihanna (Best Caribbean Performance) were not in attendance. Catch some of the performances, including the tribute to
the late Heavy D, and the list of winners below.

If you're going to pen a song about kissing and making up after a fight, one step toward keeping things peaceful on the homefront is casting your wife as the love interest in the video. Robin Thicke and his better half, Paula Patton — here sporting a blonde wig — have a sexy, semi-naked romp in Thicke's Hype Williams-directed visual for
"Love After War", the title track from
the crooner's fifth LP (out December 6). Watch the vintage French film-inspired clip below.
