Ruben Studdard’s “June 28th (I’m Single)” Video Is A Heartbreaker
Thu Jan 26 2012 by Robbie Daw
Poor Ruben Studdard. His divorce inspired his lead Letters From Birmingham (out March 11) offering "June 28th (I'm Single)", and despite the fact that he's letting all the ladies know he's back on the market, he still seems pretty broken up. (Check the words "I miss you" written in the sand at the very end of the song's video.) Sure, the Velvet Teddybear's clip lacks in high production values. But the Season 2 American Idol champ makes up for that with heart. Watch below!

Tue Dec 21 2010 by Becky Bain
Welcome Home, a documentary following the winners of American Idol, popped up over the weekend without much fanfare — and even stranger, the Fox-approved doc isn't drowning in cheesiness (or Coca-Cola and Ford product placement). The half-hour special features interviews with all nine Idol winners, from Kelly Clarkson to Lee DeWyze, as well as their parents, siblings and grade school music teachers. It's an interesting look into the process of auditioning for the competition, surviving it, and managing your career once you've won it. Jump below for the full vid.

Which ‘American Idol’ Champ Had The Best Winning Moment?
Thu Jun 3 2010 by Becky Bain
It's been a week now since Lee DeWyze was crowned the winner of American Idol Season 9, and we still can't get out of our head how happy and pure of full joy the former paint salesman looked upon hearing Ryan Seacrest announce his name. Lee's unrestrained reaction was everything we wanted in an emotional, cathartic TV-viewing experience. But how does his winning moment stack up against Idols past?
We're jumping back in time to rate the reactions of all nine Idol champs upon discovering they were the next American Idol. Points will be awarded to each victorious contestant depending on a) how many tears were shed, b) their inability to form a coherent thought, and c) how much they acknowledged the runner-up standing beside them. (Selflessness counts!) Jump below to find out whose winning moment still makes us cry, and which Idol champion could barely crack a smile after winning the biggest reality competition in the world. Tue Mar 9 2010 by Robbie Daw
A slimmed-down Ruben Studdard (he lost 100 lbs, y'all!) hit up The Wendy Williams Show yesterday and gave his opinions on, among other things, the current season of American Idol. Particularly, he talked about Paula Abdul's absence. "They asked, will she survive without American Idol," Ruben said. "I think American Idol should ask the question: will it survive without Paula Abdul?"
