Katy Perry And Russell Brand: Before The Divorce (PHOTOS)

Before Russell Brand filed a petition to divorce Katy Perry, the couple appeared to enjoy a true romance. The quick-witted British comedian and the flirty American pop megastar first met at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, where they filmed a kiss for Brand's film Get Him To The Greek. They quickly became a couple, and wed in an elaborate ceremony in India in October 2010 (they surely would have made our list of pop music's best weddings if only someone had snapped a shot). But now that they're evidently headed for splitsville, all that's left to do is spin "The One That Got Away" and flip through our gallery recounting their relationship. CAUTION: the shot of their wedding rings WILL make you cry.
Russell Brand Files To Divorce Katy Perry

And so 2011 — arguably the biggest year of Katy Perry's career — looks like it will end with heartbreak. Russell Brand has filed for divorce, according to TMZ. Documents filed in a Los Angeles court cite "irreconcilable differences", and its not entirely clear that Perry was expecting the news. The news follows several days of reports that a parting was imminent after the two were seen without their wedding rings, and it comes a little more than a year after they wed in India. More »
Katy Perry On Amy Winehouse: “My Heart Felt Really Sad”

Katy Perry stopped by Good Morning America this morning, and the VMA nominee answered hard-hitting questions, like what drew her to the role of Smurfette, and what shade is her new hair color really? (It's honey.) In a bit more relevant news, Perry spoke about her pop peer Amy Winehouse's unfortunate death last Saturday, saying "My heart felt really sad" when she heard the news. A day after learning that Amy Winehouse is no longer with us, Amy's family, friends, and fans have had time to compose more heartfelt sentiments than can be conveyed via Twitter. Comedian Russell Brand struck a serious note for his friend, citing his own struggles with substance abuse in a lengthy tribute on his website. Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings (who toured with and backed Winehouse on Back To Black) issued a statement that called her "one of a kind." And Amy's mother, Janis, declared it was "only a matter of time" before Amy expired, evidently agreeing with The 27s author Josh Hunter. Hear more of what they said below.

Katy Perry And Russell Brand Attend ‘Arthur’ Premiere (PHOTOS)

Today Katy Perry stepped out in London for the European premiere of hubby Russell Brand’s flick Arthur. The recently parodied couple posed for photographers on the red carpet at Cineworld 02 while dressed to the nines. The firework wore a long sleeved nude and sequined gown while the comedian dressed in a simple gray suit and tie combo. And by the look of the trailer, it's more funny than sexy — unless, of course, you get aroused by terrible impersonations and bad wigs.
