For the mag’s upcoming Music Issue, “L.A.’s Lolita” posed for photographer Mario Testino dressed as the Material Girl right out of the 80s and 90s. Decked out in “Boy Toy” belts, “Like A Virgin”-style bridal gowns and that commanding “Justify My Love”-era hat, the bewitching songstress looks almost identical to her pop queen inspiration. Earlier this year we got the dance-pop EP As If! from "One" songstress Sky Ferreira, and then, well, she kind of went the model route. Bewitching pics of her cropped up via Style Caster, as well as some Lolita-esque snaps for a spring issue of Wonderland. Nineteen-year-old Sky's latest modelling gigs are for CK One and Adidas. Sky Ferreira does not bother or bewilder us, but she sure is bewitching — especially in her new "The Witching Hour" fashion editorial for Style Caster. The "Traces" songbird takes on a very different look than the fun, frisky, girly styles she recently sported in the pages of Wonderland, a dark and brooding Pagan-inspired series of snaps and illustrations shot by Hugh Lippe and styled by Martha Violante, featuring lots of black-and-white with a few bright bursts of color (and the young starlet looking like she might burst into "99 Tears" at any minute). Sky Ferreira's EP As If! has found its inevitable way to the Internets this weekend — not too bad, considering its official release date is tomorrow. That's a heck of a lot better than the luck Britney had with Femme Fatale leaking more than two weeks before its drop date. In any case, Sky's five-song debut is packed with 80s-style influences (seriously — Sky "pities the fools" Mr. T-style in her lead single "Sex Rules") and loads of energy, particularly on the infectious "99 Tears".
