Says singer Adam Franklin: "We've actually only had the one get-together at this point in a cheap studio in North London but it sounded surprisingly tight and together—and also more punk rock and unhinged than ever before somehow." Once again, where is that reissue of Raise? [Billboard]

<![CDATA[Because It's Always Nice To Have An Excuse To Post Swervedriver]]>
And here I thought they'd broken up: the British outfit Swervedriver is embarking on a tour next spring, ending what their PR firm is referring to as a "10-year hiatus" and giving fans of huge, swirling guitars the chance to hear the big chords of "Rave Down" in a live setting. Here's hoping that this results in a proper reissue of Raise, which is currently going for $22.47 on Amazon—the kids today, especially the ones who are trying to get into that whole nu-gaze crap, need to at least have the option of snagging a legal copy of "Son Of Mustang Ford."

<![CDATA[The Vault: Riding The Early-'90s Highway With Swervedriver]]> raise.jpgThe thick guitar rave-ups plastered all over Swervedriver's 1991 album, Raise, are well-suited to the ever-messy Idolator flophouse. Since Raise has fallen out of print, we'd like to offer up two of its best tracks—the charged "Son Of Mustang Ford" was the song that caught Creation Records head Alan McGee's ear, and the massive, gorgeous guitars on "Rave Down" are bliss-inducing.
