When The-Dream dropped by Tim Westwood‘s BBC radio show earlier today, we don't think the R&B singer-songwriter expected that Rihanna's "Umbrella" would become a topic of conversation. The host put the 1977 artist in the hot seat regarding his earnings on the 2007 track, and Terius reluctantly revealed that he made a pretty penny by penning the track — $15 million to be exact. The-Dream's 11-track Internet album 1977, released under his birth name Terius Nash, will be available as a free download on August 31, and today the artist revealed the track listing. Interesting to note: the song "Murderer", inspired by the movie Colombiana, is nowhere on here. That, and Track 6 just features Radio Killa signee Casha, while Track 7 introduces Casha. The-Dream is prepping the release of his 1977 album under his birth name of Terius Nash, and today we get a first listen to the sound of the album with the new track "Murderer". The visuals that accompany the song are from the upcoming movie Colombiana, starring Zoe Saldana, and the song itself was inspired by the movie. The-Dream Scores The Bronze With ‘1977′ Album Cover

While we wait for The-Dream's delayed The Love IV (Diary of a Mad Man) (now to drop sometime later this year), the singer/producer is dropping a 10-track LP called 1977. Not coincidentally at all, that happens to be the year of his birth, and Dream will be releasing it under his given name, Terius Nash. The classic art-inspired album cover, which appears to have a hidden clock face of some kind, reminds us of Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne cover in pretentiousness alone. 1977 drops August 31.
