The much-ballyhooed video featuring a soon-to-be-married couple and their wedding party dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown’s “Forever” has just passed the 10-million-view mark, leaving some chart success for the song (which is still in the iTunes Store’s top 10 as of this writing) in its wake. File under I’ll Believe It Only When The Finished Product Is In My Hands (Or At Least My iTunes Playlist): “The La’s’ Lee Mavers has asked Pete Doherty if Babyshambles will help out with the recording of the second La’s album…. ‘Lee said he’s got loads of songs written and he’d like us to get involved,’ [Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek] said. ‘I’m not sure where it’ll go from here, but it’s enough to get excited about.’ ” Note that Mavers was quoted only a month ago as saying that he “doesn’t see the point” of resurrecting the old band name, and you’ll wonder if this is just another game of telephone gone awry for the good ol’ British music press or what.
