Via e-mail, a confirmation that the Vampire Weekend tribute band we posted about yesterday is a) not a joke perpetuated on the desperate musicians of Craigslist, b) already staffed (with preppies from Princeton!), and c) already in possession of a name (the VW Bugs), a MySpace page, and a Twitter account. No music is on the MySpace page just yet, but someone less charitable than I might argue that said music comes in second to the whole concept in the whole “importance” race.
