Nate Dogg Is Not Having The Best Year

First, Nate Dogg had a stroke. Then the always-classy folks at TMZ mocked his ladyfriend for not being upset enough during the 911 call reporting said stroke. Then the Internet thought he was dead. And now? The once-ubiquitous singer has been arrested for making "terrorist threats," according to TMZ—which somehow restrained itself from making a joke about his medical condition while reporting on why, exactly, he's headed for the medical ward of a downtown Los Angeles jail. You can take semi-literate gossip site TMZ's latest "'Memba Him?," which is about the former lead singer of popular "alternative/emo/indie" band the Smiths, in one of two ways: One, TMZ assumes that its readership is so Idiocratic that it's only able to identify members of the axis of celebrities who regularly appear on the site's radar, forgetting about anyone who may fall off it for more than a day; or two, indie kids really are cut off from the rest of society and living in their own universe. Not that I'm saying that being off the radar of AOL's cash cow/sign of the apocalypse is a bad thing, mind you. [TMZ]

From the "even the most hideously broken clocks can be sorta useful once in a while" department: TMZ has tracked down former MTV "personality" Jesse Camp, an old-school Internet novelty who is now 28 and existing somewhere in southern California. He has a girlfriend! And opinions on Kenny Rogers' plastic surgery! And enough money to buy himself a really nice camera, somehow! [TMZ]

You've resorted to publishing the sort of celebrity-death rumors that we used to hear on the third-grade playground; next you'll be telling us that Mikey from Life, Eddie Vedder and Zack from Saved By The Bell all died in a car wreck the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.
