The Fader has a video of R. Kelly explaining the interstellar inspiration behind Trapped In The Closet. Later that night Kelly made a mountain out of mashed potatoes and began muttering, "This means something, this is important." [The Fader]

R. Kelly Has Once Again Reduced Our Brains To Pudding

VH1 has an updated version of the "Chapter 12.5" clip of R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" that now contains teasers for chapters 13, 18, and 21. And, uh, yeah, well, if you honestly thought it couldn't get any dumber/more brilliant than the midget who was blessed and the rubber in the bed, then you really need to check out R.'s Coming To America-like turns as an old man (complete with giant, fake R. belly and a beard that looks like the stuffing from a gym mat has been glued to his face) and a pastor (complete with choir). Chapter 21's dialogue seems to have abandoned all but the most singsong-y pretense to following the melody line of the backing track, but it compensates by setting up a mafia plotline with R.'s goofball Italian accent in the service of a mob boss with a penchant for LL Cool J references. I'm more terrified/excited/embarassed than ever.

Videodrone: The Most Blasphemous Piece Of Claymation You'll See All Day

What better to get you in the holiday spirit than a three-part, Claymation take on "Trapped In The Closet" that invites the possibility of Rudolph-on-Mrs. Claus action? Okay, that's kind of gross. Still, those of you who are waiting for leaked dailies of the upcoming "Trapped" chapters' video shoot can tide yourselves over with this Yuletide version of R. Kelly's opus, which is filled with the most realistic clay-crafted bloodshed that we've ever seen. More »

Is R. Kelly Heading Back Into The "Closet"?

It seems like it's been ages since the last chapter of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet saga—and that wait's probably been exacerbated by the end of chapter 12, where one friend confessed to another, "That ho was me!" So we got pretty excited when we happened upon this casting call for what may be the next chapter (or five, depending on how Kells' creativity has been flowing lately): More »
