Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night” Scores Bella & Edward’s Wedding In ‘Twilight’ Parody

Fri Feb 10 2012 by Idolator Staff
The Hillywood Show, responsible for the frighteningly good "This Is Gagaween" Lady Gaga parody, have released a new video, and their latest creation mocks Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Besides showing just how ridiculous that movie is (we still refuse to believe that Jacob falls in love with an infant), the vid uses pop songs as its soundtrack: Bella, in bridal wear, starts out singing "I'm gonna marry Edward" to the tune of Gaga's "Marry The Night", and Pitbull and Ne-Yo's "Give Me Everything" becomes Edward's wedding night serenade. Check it out below. More »

Bruno Mars Joins The ‘Twilight’ Cast On ‘Ellen’, Performs “It Will Rain”

Fri Nov 18 2011 by Becky Bain
After the entire way-too-good-looking Twilight cast made their chummy appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' show this morning (we're not even fans of the series, and yet we could watch Kristin Stewart throw candy into Taylor Lautner's mouth all day), it was time for the laughter to fade and the tears to swell, as Bruno Mars took the stage to perform his sorrowful single, "It Will Rain", from the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack. Watch below. More »

Mac Miller Parks Himself Atop Album Chart

Wed Nov 16 2011 by Robbie Daw
Justin Bieber's Under The The Mistletoe has slid off the peak position on Billboard's Top 200 album chart in the wake of Mac Miller's debut with Blue Slide Park. Nineteen-year-old Pittsburgh rapper Miller sees his first LP go in at #1 with first-week sales of 144,000, which, Billboard notes, makes him the first artist to top the main album chart with an independently-distributed debut since Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Food, in 1995. Paul McDonald From ‘Idol’ Records Duet With Wife, ‘Twilight’ Actress Nikki Reed

Mon Nov 14 2011 by Becky Bain
While his American Idol Season 10 peers drop #1 albums and sign record deals, Paul McDonald - the soft-voiced contestant who never met a nudie suit he didn't like - has been more or less quiet over the last few months, save for wooing, dating, proposing to and marrying Twilight's Nikki Reed. In an attempt to play catch-up, the 27-year-old is now releasing a duet, and he's teamed up with none other than his wife! That should at least guarantee every Twilight fan buying a copy. Listen to "Now That I Found You" below. More »

Christina Perri Sings By Candlelight In “A Thousand Years” Video

Wed Oct 26 2011 by Erika Brooks Adickman
In preparation for the wedding event of the year (sorry Will and Kate!), the video for Christina Perri's guitar-driven  "A Thousand Years" from the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack has premiered. Placed between scenes from the film of Edward and Bella's wedding are shots of the "Arms" songbird surrounded by what we assume are a thousand candles. (A metaphor for every year she has loved the man she's singing to, perhaps?) Hop below to watch the "Jar Of Hearts" singer as she carries a handful of tealights. More »

Christina Perri Drops ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’ Song “A Thousand Years”

Tue Oct 18 2011 by Becky Bain
Christina Perri has revealed her contribution to the very pop-leaning Breaking Dawn soundtrack, the subdued and guitar-driven love song "A Thousand Years", which has the "Jar Of Hearts" singer/songwriter pining for her love for a full century. Being that Perri is a mortal human and not part of the Cullen clan, we gather she's being metaphorical. Jump below to hear the full song and check out the lyric video, which finds inspiration from all four Twilight book covers. More »

The ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′ Soundtrack: A Pop Evolution?

Mon Oct 17 2011 by Idolator Staff
When the list of tracks on the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 soundtrack was revealed last month, we were acutely aware of two things: 1.) Muse were nowhere to be found for the first time in the vamp franchise's music history, and 2.) just as the sun is peaking out on the cover art, things had gotten slightly more poppy with the inclusion of Bruno Mars and Christina Perri. Bruno Mars Performs ‘Twilight’ Song “It Will Rain” With Skylar Grey

Thu Oct 13 2011 by Becky Bain
While in Vienna, Austria for their European tour, Bruno Mars brought "Invisible" songstress Skylar Grey out for his new song "It Will Rain", the lead single from the Twilight: Breaking Dawn soundtrack. Between his "Grenade" and her... pretty much every song she has... these two have melancholia perfected. Watch Eminem's two hook maestro's go at it on the mournful tune below. More »

Sia Song Cut From ‘Twilight’ Soundtrack

Tue Sep 27 2011 by Robbie Daw
The tracks on the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 soundtrack (out November 8) have been confirmed, and the first single from it, Bruno Mars' melancholy "It Will Rain," has been released. But those Twihards hoping to hear Sia return to the franchise, following her musical stint with "My Love" on last year's Eclipse soundtrack, are going to think this truly sucks (ahem): her contribution to the new film was cut. "bummer i got bumped from the breaking dawn soundtrack!!!" Sia tweeted last night. Bloody hell. Here's hoping the tune surfaces on her next album, which she's recording with Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi.
