Will.i.am Taps Britney Spears, LMFAO & More For ‘#willpower’
Mon Jan 30 2012 by Becky Bain
Will.i.am went hard with Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger, but there are plenty more guest stars lined up for his forthcoming solo album #willpower. The Black Eyed Pea recently revealed quite an impressive list of collaborators — his "Big Fat Bass" lady Britney Spears, as well as Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Swedish House Mafia, Shakira, LMFAO and Busta Rhymes. Oh, and there's more: “I made this song with Nicole Scherzinger that you would never expect,” he said, explaining that his collab with The X Factor judge may only be released online. "It's classical music."
LMFAO To Perform With Madonna At Super Bowl, Says Will.i.am
Thu Jan 26 2012 by Robbie Daw
Last year the Black Eyed Peas gave a debatable Super Bowl halftime performance, and during an interview with UK radio station Capital FM, will.i.am was asked about this year's big game. "I'm going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna," said the "T.H.E." tunesmith. Wait, the same LMFAO who are collaborating with Paris Hilton on a single? Pop mainstay Madge has yet to confirm her guests for the February 5 football blowout, but Will seems pretty adamant.

Will.i.am And Mick Jagger Suggest You “Go Home”
Tue Jan 17 2012 by Becky Bain
As most of you decided to take up will.i.am's suggestion in "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" to go home instead of going hard, we have a feeling you might opt to go elsewhere upon listening to the Black Eye Pea's new song, "Go Home". The dance tune isn't exactly a totally new track — though it has different beats (thanks to DJ Wolfgang Gartner) and some new verses, it lifts Mick Jagger's refrain from the last third of "T.H.E." (What, was Mick only available for a half hour of studio time and this is all will could get him to record?) Go hard, go home, or go below to listen. The choice is yours.

Obama Would Like Fergie, Adam Levine & Lea Michele’s Endoresement
Mon Jan 16 2012 by Idolator Staff
Is Obama a huge Maroon 5, Glee, and Black Eyed Peas fan? Maybe, maybe not — but he does want their endorsement on his 2012 re-election. The Commander-in-Chief already has stars like Lady Gaga on his team, but that didn't stop him from releasing a "wish list" of celebrities he'd like on board as he bids for a second term. Amongst names we might easily expect to find here, such as B.o.B., Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys, there are such diverse acts as Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum, the Jonas Brothers, Janelle Monae, Ricky Martin, Regina Spektor, and Vampire Weekend. (Kelly Clarkson was apparently already spoken for.) Check out the full list of names below. More »
Will.i.am Brings His iPad Onto ‘The Tonight Show’
Wed Jan 4 2012 by Becky Bain
Will.i.am's "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" continues to hammer its way into existence with a late-night performance of the track on The Tonight Show. Instead of Jennifer Lopez or Mick Jagger, though, viewers got an eyeful of a dozen iPads strapped to the heads of will and his backup dancers. (Due to his on-screen visage lip-synching to pre-recorded vocals, will avoided another on-air lyrical fail.) Someone's either getting a nice big check from Apple, or will.i.am is a generous soul when it comes to product placement. Watch will.i.am's two-minute iPad commercial below. More »
Pop Music’s 13 Biggest Fails Of 2011
Fri Dec 30 2011 by Becky Bain
There were plenty of noble efforts to come out of the 2011 pop scene — Adele's crowd-pleasing, chart-dominating album; Lady Gaga's various charitable commitments; Justin Bieber's surprisingly impressive freestyle raps, just to name a few. But even though we like to highlight the good stuff, the fail-worthy moments from the past year are too unforgettable (and too funny) to ignore. We've picked the 13 Biggest Fails from the past year for your reading (dis)pleasure, and if you thought nothing could be worse than Chris Brown's chair-throwing temper tantrum at Good Morning America, you're wrong. Reflect on Pop Music's Year In Fail below. More »
Kelis & Will.i.am Deliver New Dance Track “Anything Like You”
Mon Dec 26 2011 by Idolator Staff
And we thought we'd have to wait until 2012 for new music from Kelis! Leave it to this bouncy diva to exceed our expectations — her track with The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am has hit the internet, and it gives us everything we want and need from the fashionable songbird. The electronic dance jam continues in the same vein as Kelis' 2009 Flesh Tone offerings, which is the best possible news since that was one of our faves that year. Though we don't yet know if this is new or just a leaked unreleased track, we can only hope Kelis' upcoming album is as strong as this track indicates. Listen below.

Will.i.am, Jennifer Lopez & Mick Jagger Get Their Hard On In “T.H.E.” Video
Mon Dec 12 2011 by Robbie Daw
The video for will.i.am's double entendre-filled "empowerment" anthem "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" finds the Black Eyed Pea running, biking, speeding and flying through various obstacles while Jennifer Lopez struts and arches across the screen in (what else?) a slew of skin-tight outfits. The highlight of this effects-laden clip is when Will blasts off into space and encounters a very psychedelic Mick Jagger, who busts all those famous moves like... well, you know. Watch below!

Will.i.am To Coach On The UK Version Of ‘The Voice’
Fri Dec 2 2011 by Becky Bain
Will.i.am is using his hiatus from The Black Eyed Peas effectively — not only is he prepping his solo album #willpower, he just signed on to be one of the four coaches on the British version of NBC's hit show The Voice. He will join Jessie J and two other not-yet-announced artists to take a seat in the coaches' oversized swivel chairs. With a lengthy, successful career, we're sure will.i.am has tons of advice to impart upon the contestants — the least of all being, memorize your lyrics before appearing on television. [Via THR]
