A long list of contenders up for nomination for the Best Song category at the upcoming Academy Awards in 2012 is doing the rounds, and while some of the tunes that have already been nominated for Golden Globes are present — “Hello Hello” by Elton John and Lady Gaga, “The Living Proof” by Mary J. Blige, "The Keeper" by Chris Cornell, etc. — it appears as if there was no love for Madonna's “Masterpiece”, from her directorial effort W.E.

‘Voice’ Coaches Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton Set For ‘Footloose’ Soundtrack

Twenty-seven years ago, box office smash Footloose turned Kevin Bacon into a star, while the big screen musical-drama's soundtrack spawned hits in the forms of Kenny Loggin's title song, Deniece Williams' "Let's Hear It For The Boy," Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out For A Hero" and Mike Reno and Ann Wilson's "Almost Paradise." Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine can at least be happy that he spared himself from giving away his Harley Forty-Eight chopper; the singer promised to hand over the motorcycle's keys to a fan if his band's new album Hands All Over reached #1 this week. Alas, Zac Brown Band's You Get What You Give held M5 off from the top position.

Green Day, Pink, Lady Gaga Set To Rock The Grammy Stage

Last month it was announced that Beyonce and Taylor Swift, the artists with the most Grammy nominations this year, would be performing at the awards show ceremony on January 31. Now news comes that five more acts will be taking the stage, all of whom are 2010 Grammy nominees: Green Day, Lady Gaga, Pink, Zac Brown Band and Dave Matthews Band.
Given the fact that the Black Eyed Peas were already slated to perform, all five nominees in the Album Of The Year category (BEP, Beyonce, DMB, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift) will now be in attendance and belting out their material live come Grammy night. Who do you think is going to win?
