"There is nothing worse than a middle-aged man thinking the music of his youth is somehow vastly superior to what is being made and played today," muses Bill Drummond of the KLF just before he commits an act of sacrilege against a Bob Dylan record in his automobile. While I don't share his conflicted ire for Mr. Zimmerman, the brat in me certainly appreciates the gesture. [Guardian]

I pity anyone that has ever been in a relationship with that man. He seems to have commitment issues.
I'm less irritated by people who think the music of their youth is the greatest thing ever than I am by those who think the music before their youth is the greatest thing ever (Lenny Kravitz, the Gallagher Brothers, the Marsalis Brothers, white bluesfolk). New old fogies are usually even LESS critical and self-aware than old old fogies.
@dickdogfood: I dated a girl in high school whose favorite artists were Jimmy Buffett and Johnny Rivers. Because those were her idiot father's favorites, too.
To this day, every time I hear a Jimmy Buffet song, I want to gouge out my eyes with a rusty screwdriver.
@Fried Bologna Is Back!: Everything about this guy's history suggests self-destructive tendencies and an absolute refusal to allow himself to be happy.
@Anonymous Communist:
I LIKE MINE WITH LETTUCE AND TOMATO!
