Today is homecoming day for American Idol finalists Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis, and Jordin Sparks—the three will travel back to their hometowns and announce one of their song selections for next Tuesday's episode, with one of the judges in tow. Lewis has spent the morning hitting the talk-show circuit Seattle, and the Fox affiliate there is gamely liveblogging the day. In between updates on his limo and shots of the weather outside, they dropped this tidbit:
[Lewis] says he's looking forward to the Westlake Park mini-concert at noon, which also will feature Sir Mix-A-Lot plus city council member Jean Godden proclaiming this "Blake Lewis Day."
It's probably too much to expect the debut of a Lewis-Mix take on "Freak Momma," isn't it?

Comments
Blake Lewis can officially join the ranks of other Seattle musicians like Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana.
I need to hear Blake's take on SWASS before I can put him up with Mix-A-Lot.
Why does no one ever post "The Square Dance Rap"?
