You may not have recognized him without a nosebleed, but that man adding piano accompaniment to Bonnie "Prince" Billy's Late Night With Conan O'Brien performance last night was our favorite hard-partying keyboard virtuoso, Andrew WK. Seriously, it's criminal that Close Calls With Brick Walls, Andrew's third full-length, isn't available in the States yet; it's filled with over-the-top anthems that will smack a big goofy grin onto your tired, worn face.
(UPDATE: NBC complained to YouTube, and this video got pulled at around 3 p.m. ET on Sept. 21.)

If Idolator became the primary source for fast breaking Andrew WK news, the world would be a better place.
You know why "You Will Remember Tonight" is the best single of the millenium? It has a fucking rocket solo. 'Nuff said.
Andrew WK > every other musician, ever.
The dude hit himself in the face with a brick because pigs' blood just wasn't realistic enough. That's fucking dedication to the music, man.
And I'm more surprised to see that he has pants that aren't white denim, than that he has a button-down. Who else even tries to pull off white denim any more? Nobody, that's who.
Goddamn, I really thought his act was over. But that song is ridiculous! Beautiful.
Long live AWK! Even if he has to get a haircut and grey wool slacks (with a belt?!) and shower on a regular basis.
I love Andrew WK for his unfeined, utter lack of irony. And for that goofy heavy metal Dear Abby TV show that lasted about ten minutes. And for the white pants. Just because.
