Good morning, Idolator faithful. I'm Paul, but you may know me as brasstax. I'm not a "journalist" or a "critic," so go ahead and engage your disappointment (or elation) sensors right now. I'll be here all day.
More importantly, though, it's finally July 10—a huuuge new record release day! I solemnly swear right now to do my best in making Idolator a Spoon, Interpol, Justice and Smashing Pumpkins-free zone between now and 5pm (though I really have no control over Maura). You've been reading about all those records ad nauseam in every corner of the internet for weeks. There is one legitimately important release today, however, and it's this. Buy it now and thank me later.

You're a good man. (Though I'm indifferent towards Patton when he's not playing a rat.)
You can't see me, but my eyes have rolled so far back in my head I can actually SEE MY BRAIN!!
I think it's safe to say that I hate Patton Oswalt with as much fervor as you loathe Interpol. All right!
Have fun today, Paul. Play nice with the kiddies.

This Patton indifference and hate just will not do! Thanks, though.
That Patton Oswalt disc is quite amusing, although now that it's off the ipod, it might not ever make it back.
Best of luck, Paul. I should have warned you about Interpol references. Sorry.
Paul, don't worry, I have your back on anything to do with Interpolian disdain.
Good luck trying to keep this an Interpol-free zone today, Paul. It's an admirable, if potentially impossible, goal.
Although I really enjoy Interpol, I will not bother with any on-the-idolator-defence of them. As for comedy CD's....
Can't we all just get along and spend the day talking about Justice?
@dennisobell: Even better, how about the Uffie guest rap on Justice's "The Party"? Can we talk about that?
Spoon= great record
Interpol= pretty decent
Justice= way overhyped (and i greatly dislike dance music or whatever the fuck that gets classified as)
Pumpkins= cool if i was still in 8th grade and also thought the new Tad record was good.
@Aquemini: Wait, TAD has a new record out? AWESOME.
Wow, who do you have to grease around here to get a guest blogging day?
Patton oswalt is hilarious. That cd is decent, 222 is classic.
