With one of your Idolator editors out on a Lindsay Lohan-style break due to exhaustion, I'll be filling in for the day, embarrassing myself and, possibly, the Idolator institution in the process. My name is Dan Gibson, and you may be familiar with my occasionally witty banter in the comments section of this fine site. I have no blog to plug, but I hope my experience in the trenches managing an indie record store, working for the distribution arm of a major label, and snagging a come-from-behind victory on Rock and Roll Jeopardy (not simultaneously) have prepared me for the busy news day ahead. My posts are tagged with my name, so feel free to let out your frustration at not being selected for this prestigious gig in the comments.
Morrissey - Do Your Best And Don't Worry [MP3, link expired]

Is it possible to mention Dan Gibson without mentioning Rock and Roll Jeopardy? I don't think it is.
DAEAR MR. DAN GISBON:
I HOEP THIS FINDS YO WELL. I AM THE DAUGHTERE OF A NIGERIAN ROKC STAR...
way to go, man.
and one of my all-time favorite (favourite)Morrissey songs! it's sort of my "Eye of the Tiger", you know?
That whole album is deeply underrated.
agreed, indeed.
My fellow comment-whore:
Way to go! Good luck running the asylum.
And...holy shit! Rock & Roll Jeopardy? Any chance you can YouTube the episode so we can all relive your glory? Even vicariously - I spent years fantasizing about going on that show and whupping Mark McGrath's ass.
I would YouTube my appearance, but the Double Jeopardy round is somewhat humilating in my complete inability to ring in (the buzzer was stuck, I think that's the standard excuse). The only thing that allows me to use the story as triumph instead of tragedy was my reckless bet on Final Jeopardy.
On another note, Jeff Probst is short and somewhat leathery.
