Idolator

So our semi-obsessive coverage of this year's Video Music Awards has had a point aside from poking fun at MTV's increasingly desperate attempts to stay down with this whole "Internet" thing: Idolator will be liveblogging the event this Sunday beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Since this year's edition is going to be "special," I won't be completely alone in my apartment this go-round. Yes, that's right: this site's first session of Video Music Awards liveblogging will be an affair for the entire Idolator family, with Jess and Kate right beside me on the couch to feed me lines/apply the Heimlich maneuver for those moments when I'm choking on the "why do they hate us"-ness of it all. Kate will even have her laptop handy so she can check into the virtual VMAs for Laguna Beach towel-waving and awkward chitchat. Do join us! We may not even be drunk by the time Britney's performance is over.
