@therichgirlsareweeping: that's exactly what i thought of when i saw this album cover.
What is that font used for her name? It's driving me nuts.
@MickFNS: The one the art designer pilfered from a 1920s Martini ad. Actually, on that note, the whole thing looks like a slightly troubled Mucha painting, right down to the spacey ingénue look.
@MickFNS: Wasn't it called "Party" when it was bundled into The Print Shop?
@maura: Yes. I beleive I used it to make a KEEP OUT sign for my bedroom when I was 8.
You can just tell from the cover how awful this is going to be but it might be Showgirls awful...so it might be worth a listen.
Somehow, I think if the cover had been text-free, with her portrait in the dead center, we all wouldn't be having this conversation, er, post. Or the blown-out background, either. Should I send her my Andrew W.K. record for clarity, or do you think she already owns that?
Not sure. At first I thought it was supposed to be a take on "Fresh Cream" (Cream); then that me think it was the Herb Alpert "Whipped Cream" thing; but that picture of her... I thought she was kinda doing "a hats-off to" but I can't make any sense of it at all.
@CloudCarrier: Never, ever part with your Andrew WK album unless you want to spread the party.
@maura: That font is totally from Broderbund Print Shop.
I think you can pick that font up for free at freefonts.com
They've also stretched it....such a big design no no.
@therichgirlsareweeping:
Yeah, it's pretty much this one:
@Victrola: Here's a link, for anyone unable to find it, Rose by Mark Ryden:
