This has to be a mistake, right—why would any executive out there want to try and sell a record to people by using a photo that looks as if it was swiped from a paparazzo who lucked out and caught an Idol winner sneezing while standing in front of a scrachiti'd-up window on the 6 train? Of course, given its abject crappiness, watch it come out that this cover set Sparks' label back $60,000, too.

I they charged per liter of airbrush paint, the invoice should indicate upwards of 70.
This Is Her Naa-CHOO!!
its just like the 1980's, the era that inspired this god awful cover. they took a giant sheet of metal and chopped out huge lines of cocaine with monster razor blades. after everyone tooted up half a key, they put the sheet behind her and started snapping pictures.
that would explain the $60,000
I predict oil paint portraits will rise again in popularity when, for financial reasons, labels will begin using them for all pop diva album covers.
I'm sure that vacant look is about as sexy as her handlers will let her get.
American Idol 6 winner Jordin Sparks' self-titled debut album is in stores today. It includes the terribly awful ballad "This Is My Now" that won the show's first songwriting contest, and 12 other songs.
