What the fuck is that on the Megadeath cover? Seriously, you get automatic point deductions when your graphics are that indiscernible. Is that an angel with a boner that's really a fist? For real?

Sadly, we're judging worst album cover though, and the Megadeth one is the clear winner here.

@tigerpop: Worst Prince cover of all time is probably Emancipation - seriously bad, clearly self-administered mid-'90s Photoshop cheapness. Looks like a demo image for a $99 Epson color printer.

Prince at his least classy would still be classier than Megadeth at it's best.

I think that Megadeth cover is definitely in the running for the worst. It looks like something some junior high metal band (like mine) would release.

At least Prince's album can be immediately identified as some sort of music-related imagery. Megadeth's cover looks like they just snipped a panel out of some B-grade comic book. Plus, the logo? Crappiest "outer glow" effect ever!

I'm not that surprised the Megadeth art is that awful, I mean, it says ABOMINATIONS right there on the cover...

there's no doubt that the Megadeth cover is bad, but it's so blandly awful that I don't think it can make it past the next round.

That's the Megadeth mascot Vic Rattlehead on the cover. I think there was a deviantart competition to reinterpret his look, and that entry won.

I don't think it looks that bad, to be honest... Countdown to Extinction - [upload.wikimedia.org] is much worse.
