With a new day comes a new bracket in our Worst Album Cover Of The Year Tournament, and—in case you hadn't figured it out by the dueling covers above—today we look at entrants in the Anatomically Incorrect bracket. On the one side, you have Ted Nugent, who... well, really, does this cover need any more comment? On the other, you have the Killers, and their unfortunately Creed-like attempt at showing that trees have limbs, too, mannnn. Vote after the jump!

Sorry Brandon, you never had a chance.
Smell The Glove.
The Killers cover is so deserving of endless scorn...and yet, Ted knocked 'em out of here in the first round.
Yeah, this is an easy one. I have a feeling Nugent wouldn't be bitter, though. Clearly, a lot of work went into that crass cover. The Killers? Not so much.
I think Uncle Ted should have gotten a first-round bye for this one.
The Nuge's hunting-shop erotica shines brighter than the Killers' woefully superimposed limb. Funny, I thought that Ted was all about Republican family values - I suppose that putting a hog-tied woman on a platter is a secret mating ritual.
Actually it's been scientifically proven that 99.9% of male right-wing extremists are secretly gay, so the mating ritual would in fact involve a male prostitute with a grenade in his mouth.
The Killers one is bad, but I can't hate it because it's less stupid than the tree-peepee* on that stupid Say Anything album from last year.
(*say it out loud, it's fun.)
@The Notorious T:
Seriously, we might as well just jump the final round of 'Love Grenade' vs. 'Love Grenade (Special Edition)'.
the killers is actually more disgusting from a design sense, but it doesnt force me to look at it. i could avod that cover for the rest of my life.
ted nugents cannibal mysoginistic mindfuck? thats gonna be with me for life. burned into the retinas, that one is.
You know how sometimes the Selection Committee sometimes screws up and puts two teams who probably should be meeting in the Final Four in, like, the Round of Sixteen?
Still, nonewyork OTM.
Nuge with the geniuosity!
I hate the Killers album cover sooooo much.
But Uncle Ted is making me ill. Have to give it to him.
This was a harder choice than I expected it to be. But, the Nuge is going to run away with the whole thing.
The Nuge was far worse than The Killers cover.
I'd rather see a funky tree limb/hand than a woman strung up like a pig.
These brackets need rankings so that a clear #1 seed like the Nuge doesn't get matched up against what seems to be a 5 or 6 seed in the first round. It's unfair to the poor Killers to get knocked out so early when clearly their cover deserves more recognition.
That women isn't nearly buttered up enough, her skin is going to be way too crispy. Way to ruin the roast Nuge!
The darker the flesh, the sweeter the juice.
And here we see the winner enter the playing field...
@sparkletone: I have to be honest -- after yesterday I am wondering if Satellite Party might beat it out!
@DigitalLogic: Sadly, according to the bracket PDF, a Nuge vs. Nuge final round is impossible, as both editions of Love Grenade are in th same "conference". I'm sure one of them will make it, though. So far, my money's on a finals consisting of "Love Grenade Special Edition" vs Satellite Party.
Speaking of money, anybody wanna start a pool once all the entrants are listed?
@Camp Tiger Claw: I was thinking that cover needed to be a 'lil bit blacker myself.
The Nuge o'coarse!
Seeing that cover is like hearing a racial slur come out of your grandma.
I voted for the Killers. That is bad photo-shoppery. As our good friend Nigel Tufnel so famously asked, what is wrong with being sexy?
Johnny, tell the audience what Ted will win ...
Hey, so, some new shit has come to light, man. I don't know why I looked it up, but it appears that this is not the actual cover of the limited edition of Love Grenade.
This is:
Luckily, it's almost the same. Just the photographed woman is replaced by a cartoon, and she's at least wearing a g-string while bound and gagged on a plate. Which clearly makes it more tasteful.
Anyway, carry on.
Seriously, how did both Dream Theater and the Killers end up ripping off Creed with their cover designs? What the fuck, Creed. Stay gone.
It's a shame that both this and Deadspin's SHOTY awards already have such clear winners...no way anyone is beating either Nugent or Michael Vick, even if there are contenders who, in any other year, might've had a chance...
