Yes, Ted Nugent's Love Grenade (Special Edition) advanced to the second round of our Worst Album Cover Of The Year Tournament. But! Thanks to an ill-placed Santa hat, not all of the No. 1 seeds did. (And no, we won't have a Nuge vs. Nuge final showdown, as both editions of Love Grenade's cover are on the same side of the bracket. C'mon, like you thought I was going to let that happen?) Full first-round results—including the final outcome of that surprisingly nailbiting Chingo Bling/PJ Olsson showdown—after the jump; we should have the updated bracket available before second-round voting begins tomorrow.

Comments
The next round is going to be very, very ugly.
Team Coheed!
Ugh, I can't believe the first round upset of Satellite Party over J-Lo. It doesn't matter though, because the Nuge's cover is just going to rampage all the way to title infamy. Looking at 'Love Grenade' now makes me feel just as violated and sickened as the first time I saw it.
@kiss the snake goodnight: It's not an upset if the #1 seed wins.
I only hope next year brings forth stiffer competition. There's no way Nuge's gonna lose.
@lastclearchance: You're right. I guess I had assumed that J-Lo was the #1 seed and that Satellite Party was the #8 seed. After all, J-Lo is the big budget juggernaut narcissist. I just don't get it.
@rhythmchyc: The Nuge is like Kentucky in '96, when they just obliterated all the competition in the NCAA tournament.
Nobody has a chance this year. Game over.
You guys I really think Satellite Party can beat it out. Seriously.
Whoever wins, Coheed & Cambria should get a special award for worst album cover combined with worst album title.
Yeah I have to go with Nugent on this one but I'm also pulling for the above mentioned Coheed.
STATUS QUO WAS ROBBED.
Damn that MIA!
