Maybe they've determined that Way is more gangsta/murderous than Chamillionaire?

Their decision-making process when it comes to bleeping and/or blurring has always seemed largely arbitrary. I think as long as parents hear that familiar bleep in the background from time to time while little Johnny watches MTV, they're reassured that they're doing a good job parenting.

@telophaser: It's really rare that you actually hear a "bleep" sound, though. More often than not they just mute the vocal track (while the backing music keeps playing) for the duration of the offending word and then cut it back in. Sometimes you can't even tell the difference unless you already know the lyrics.

I'm pretty sure MTV never censored the word "murder" in R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)" either.

Generally Mtv (and radio) will bleep a song until it becomes sufficiently popular (or old) that no one cares any more. I still remember how they used to blank out "All the [backmask] forgot about the [backmask]" during "This Is How We Do It" -- cause, you know, Montell Jordan is straight gangsta'...

If MCR crosses to the Hot 100 (top 10 would help), I'm sure they'll be allowed to say pretty much anything they want.
