how did you guys know that "valley of the dolls" is one of my favorite books? somebody has been reading my dream journal again...

I'm reasonably sure that Britney Spears can't pronounce Bjork, much less be influenced by her.

I can't imagine anyone taking the time to interview Debbie Harry or Cyndi Lauper, and I can't imagine Ronnie Spector taking the time to listen to Amy Winehouse. So I guess I vote for Bjork?

It can't be Debbie/Lily. Did anyone see them on The Today Show? Lily can actually sing, and definitely proved she had better pipes than Debbie that morning.

My instincts want to say Diana Ross/Christina Aguilera, despite the fact that Xtina doesn't really sound like Ross.

The answer is Diana Ross/Beyonce. Diana Ross was quoted at one time saying that she felt that Bey, acclaimed her status based primarily on her looks and sex appeal. She sent a message to Bey, to keep her clothes on and be a true diva. That was too easy.
