Brandon Flowers Sees Red Over Green Day

72012931.jpgBrandon Flowers told the NME that Green Day's DVD, Bullet in a Bible, has "lit a fire" in him, and he's ready to talk some smack about the Bay Area trio's America-bashing ways:

"I just thought it was really cheap," he explained. "To go to a place like England or Germany and sing that song - those kids aren't taking it the same way that he meant it. And he [Billie Joe Armstrong] knew it."

The Killers' frontman said he believed that his band's new album 'Sam's Town' is a much better representation of America.

... because like America, Sam's Town is overweight, full of itself, and still wilfully misinterpreting Springsteen.
