Blabbermouth has reposted a shocking report from the official Web page of Florida metal band (and recent Kerrang! Award winner for Best Album) Machine Head claiming that Disney shut down its upcoming show at the Disneyland House of Blues thanks to the band's "violent imagery, undesirable fans and inflammatory lyrics," apparently only one recent example of the Mouse's hostility towards heshers:
"In a stunning last-minute move, Walt Disney Propertie have pressured promoter Live Nation into canceling MACHINE HEAD's performance tomorrow night at the House of Blues venue in Anaheim (on their Disneyland property). Citing violent imagery, undesirable fans and inflammatory lyrics as the reason, the diversity-impaired corporation began pressuring the promoter on Saturday to cancel all upcoming heavy metal concerts, placing MACHINE HEAD under an internal 'review process' that took 5 days before bothering to convey their alarming decision to the band late yesterday — less than 48 hours before their Black Tyranny Tour was to kick off at House of Blues Anaheim on Friday night.
"While the enactment of this new blanket rule applies to all upcoming heavy metal shows at the House Of Blues Anaheim (with some metal bands having been banned from performing on name alone), MACHINE HEAD is the first band to actually have tickets go on sale, and remain on sale for 2 months, before intense pressure and vague threats of liability from the Corporation left the promoter with no choice but to remove the show from the venue.
Hands up everyone who's honestly shocked that squeaky Disney might want to keep its clean venues more Hannah Montana and less Cattle Decapitation. No word from Disney itself yet confirming/denying the band's accusation, so it's possible Machine Head could have been dumped for, say, not selling enough advance tickets or taking a dump in the dressing room urinal of the last club they played. (Word of that kind of stuff gets around. Or so I hear.) Or maybe sore Kerrang! Awards losers Fall Out Boy could have put the word out that anyone who booked Machine Head would feel the full extent of Pete Wentz's displeasure.

I would be pretty shocked if the double bill of Machine Head and Arch Enemy didn't sell enough tickets. They also made a point to say none of their other House of Blues shows were canceled.
The more troubling issue is they are playing NYC on Yom Kippur. Who the hell does that? Besides Fugazi all through my high school years?
Being dropped by Disney has been historically a gateway to greater fame, no? Case Study: ICP.
