I'll make my Confessions (Part 2), that's how I got ahold of it. But at 9am on the day of release, my choices were to wait for that mess of a webpage to load or just wait the 3 minutes it took for the torrent to download.

I'm sure I'll end up buying the CD when it's properly released anyway.

I slsk'd it after trying four times to pay $5 for it, only to have their servers crash on each attempt.

I bought it last night for 4.5 pounds (9.99 USD) I torrent stuff all the time but these guys deserve my money because the album is amazing and they are revolutionizing the game. There will always be assholes out there that think it's cool to rip artists off. I feel guilt when I do and I usually do it for something I can't find otherwise.

This sort of thing won't actually fake out any audio snobs.

It took me 5 hours of trying to be able to both a) access the In Rainbows site and b) get my credit card company to let the transaction go through (since it was from England). During that time I came across a post from Thom Yorke on the message board in the official Radiohead site. It was an answer to posts from people complaining about being unable to download the album, and in it he simply said to download the album from your favorite file sharing site. So I figure if the band is encouraging this activity... whatever.
