Videodrone: Jay-Z Goes South

This truncated version of Jay-Z's "Minority Report"—one of the better tracks on the so-so yup-yuppie collection Kingdom Come—finds Hova lamenting the state of post-Katrina New Orleans, as well as his own inability to take action. It's downbeat and self-reflective, meaning that even though MTV is co-presenting it, the clip will still probably only air at 3:15 a.m. every other Wednesday.

  • Hmm, you don't see Sean Penn "lamenting over his own inability to take action." That's right - because that maniac went down their personally and pulled people out of waterlogged houses.

Jay-Z was too busy shopping for a new Ascot or signing a ghetto cred-less promo contract with the likes of Eileen Fisher or Playmobil.

  • Will I get arrested for piracy if I say I am glad I downloaded Kingdom Come instead of actually purchasing it?

I mean, Jay chose this work to stand for what his retirement did for him? Terrible.
