Boy George Arrested For Keeping A Dude On A Hook

boygeorge.jpgGeorge was nabbed by authorities yesterday in London for the Rick Jamesian crime of imprisoning a gentleman against his will for purposes that probably can't be discussed in polite society. Let's see what the BBC has to say: "Singer and DJ Boy George has been charged with the false imprisonment of a 28-year-old man, police have said. The offence is alleged to have taken place at the 47-year-old's home in Ravey Street, Hackney, east London on 28 April." Pretty dry. But U.K. tabloid The Sun come through in a purple prose pinch, as per usual.

Auden Karlsen, 28, claimed he was a prisoner at the singer's flat - as The Sun exclusively revealed in April.

Norwegian Auden said he met George on website Gaydar, but only went to the apartment as a photographic model.

He said George and another man pounced after taking a few snaps.

The '80s idol allegedly produced whips and sex toys and told terrified Auden: "Now you'll get what you deserve."

The escort said he escaped after wrenching a hook out of the wall in Shoreditch, East London.

Auden said at the time: "I was convinced I was going to die."

George is set to appear in court November 22 to explain how this poor fellow he met on a personals website for the purposes of "photographic modelling" ended up strung up and prodded in his basement. Mr. T had yet to be reached for comment.

  • So I guess he hadn't found inner peace and all that nonsense like he said he did on that VH1 special.

  • Wasn't "Ravey Street" his album after "Martry Mantras?"

  • "Martyr," yes.

  • @dickdogfood: Maybe the switched the decor back to Joan Collins-style and he went mad. (Or vice versa.)

  • Was one of the "sex toys" that poker stick he used to pick up trash in NYC a while back?

  • Cue the inevitable "do you really want to hurt me?" jokes!

  • @dickdogfood: Maybe he did find inner peace through S&M.

It's sad when a singer can't indulge in a little semi-anonymous kink without his trick immediately running to the authorities and the media. I'll bet almost anything the dude knew what was going on from the start. I'm not defending boy george, he's kooky on a level that most people can't even comprehend, but this happens in the kink community much more often than anyone would suspect, though usually the trick just makes off with some gear and some toys, and occasionally calls the cops on the guy.

  • @DeeJayQueue: FUCK THAT. Guy was getting fucking Pulp Fiction'ed. That is some sick, slavery type shit, not just some 'oh, ha-ha. He didn't know how to play along by the rules of twisted, fucked up gay S&M'.

  • @Aquemini: Yeah, cuz you know the difference between the two oh so intimately, I'm sure.

  • so, wait, they met on gaydar, which is a dating site? to do some modeling? i wonder why the newspaper decided to call him an escort, then....

  • @dickdogfood: You can't be raped if you're a prostitute. That's just shoplifting.

  • I am saddened to hear of this news. I have played some games with George on Yahoo! Games and he was always so nice to me.

  • T'would be sad if the guy was really "kidnapped" and strung up, and yes a prostitute can be raped dickdogfood, so don't be naive...but I am betting it's sex games continuuing on into the night or the flash of some $$$ signs as a possible payoff. Bet the dude never thought that George would defend the allegation and would just shell out the dough.

Bondage games are now the norm between most couples. EVery erotica store sells handcuffs, ties, and whips..whether they be feather boas type things or whatever.

I am still betting it's the money the guy was hoping to get. Too sad that George's life is now fodder for the jackals.

  • Wow, late. A few point-missing posts here. For the record: consensual S&M is more-or-less neither-here-nor-there to me; kidnapping and rape, not so much; soliciting a prostitute (if that's what happened), not so much not so much, but still, yick; kidnapping and raping a prostitute is still kidnapping and raping, OBVIOUSLY, and I'm not sure where I imply otherwise.
