Today's TRL is being shot in a smaller-than-usual studio, resulting in many moments that are almost as cramped/chaotic as the Video Music Awards (here come the flashbacks!); right now, three young ladies in the audience are getting ready to compete for the title of "Soulja Girl," and they started off by, as Kate put it, "standing up there sort of not talking directly to him but listing all his great qualities." It's like VH1's dating shows, only with training wheels (and vision-obstructing glasses). [TRL]

I hadn't thought about it until now, but between Soulja Boy's name in whiteout on his shades and Kanye's hideous Venetian blind specs, "vision-obstructing glasses" just about sums up the defining retarded trend of 2007.
what's that? something completely not worth watching happened on TRL? I'm shocked!
Honestly, I'd be even more surprised if Soulja said anything other than "YOUUUU!" at the top of his lungs.
