If only the 1999 version of Mandy Moore was around to cover "Umbrella"—I suspect her cover would have a lot more oomph than this ready-for-Triple-A take on the Rihanna song that Moore performed on Yahoo! Music last week. [Kevipod Music]

Hey, I really dug that! Very Smallville.
And I also like MM's reinvention as a sorta late-career-Alanis-Morissette's younger sister. That new record [Wild Hope] is pretty damn good -- I'm sure even Zach Braff would [reluctantly] agree.
Why did you murder fun, Mandy? Sweet baby Jesus, why?
The only thing different about the "reinvented" Mandy Moore is that she's making shitty yuppie music instead of shitty tweeny-bop music. Either way, she fucking sucks.
JK LOL am I right??
@aluberalles:
You are 100% spot on. The album is a total waste of CD. I received it a few weeks ago and just about died of boredum.
@zaky: At least you didn't suffer from Spell Check.
I saw Mandy Moore's show last night on Oxygen, and while she's too boring for celebrity reality, she's too cute not to watch for 30 mins.
She's co-headlining a tour with Paula Cole that will be rolling through next month. I must admit, I'm intrigued.
