Following in the grand tradition of L.A. Guns and Faster Pussycat, there are now two bands touring the globe and referring to themselves as "Asia," although given the number of dudes who have been in the band over the years I'm surprised there aren't a dozen more where those two came from. Who knew that so many people were dying to hear "Heat Of The Moment" live, anyway? [Geno's World]

Weren't they huge in Russia? In any version?
Dave Q once said he'd review every album, including all the live ones, for $1000. We should take him up on that.
I have seen shows by both the first version of the John Payne lineup and, 13 years later, the reunion of the original lineup. The original lineup, after not having played together for around 20 years, kicked the Payne lineup's ass.
I can't wait until both versions are at theaters across the street in Branson, Missouri.
One of my bands opened for the original Asia lineup this summer and they were damn good. Even played "Video Killed the Radio Star" which, while not an Asia song, is always a lot of fun. Also, Steve Howe looks exactly like Mr. Burns.
